Plav-Gusinje, Montenegro

Plav and Gusinje are two neighboring municipalities in Montenegro (only recently split from each other), near the country’s border with Albania and Kosovo. Today there may be more people from Plav and Gusinje living outside the region than in it, with perhaps the largest number in Queens. Many gather and worship at the Islamic Unity & Cultural Center of Plav-Gusinje in Astoria.
